Nope, nada. Regardless of whether the AirTag is inside the holder or not, it is as easily searchable for your phone.

Not even. Because the shell is not completely closed, the sound can be heard clearly. As loud as the Airtag sounds usually (which is not very loud). But hey, if you are at hearing distance, you can definitely see your dog.

Basically, you can use your AirTag to locate your dog. You get alerted when your dog runs away. You can then track your dog using your Iphone. The AirTag is detected by other iOS devices (Apple). Therefore if your dog runs away, you will be able to locate her thanks to other IOS devices.

A more rugged holder for your AirTag

For the last 3 years I went through a handful of AirTag holders for my girl - especially once I got her a baby brother. They felt flimsy while putting on a collar and tore rather easily. I’ve always had both a Fi tracker and an AirTag just to be on the safe side in the back country, and this little guy gives me lots of reassurance that it’ll say with my pup no matter what. And the best part is that it comes in all those cute colors! I like showcasing my their personality, I get compliments all the time and point people this way!
